Delete Your Laoji Account
You can permanently delete your Laoji account, personal identity records, and profile details anytime through this self-service portal or from within the mobile app.
Deleting from the Mobile App
You can also delete your account directly inside the Laoji customer app under Profile → Delete Account (प्रोफ़ाइल → खाता हटाएं).
What Data Is Deleted
When you confirm account deletion, the following categories of information are immediately removed or anonymized:
- Account Identity: Your name, mobile number, and email address.
- Authentication Data: Passwords, device tokens, and active session tokens.
- Saved Locations: Home, office, and other saved delivery addresses.
- Preferences: Push notification subscriptions and language preferences.
Data Retention & Legal Compliance
In compliance with applicable laws and regulatory guidelines (such as the Goods and Services Tax Act and Companies Act, 2013):
- Order & Billing Records: Historical tax invoices and transaction timestamps are retained for mandatory audit and accounting periods (up to 7 years). These records are dissociated from your personal identity.
- Active Orders Rule: Accounts with orders currently in progress (placed, preparing, or out for delivery) cannot be deleted until all orders are delivered or cancelled.
